Azure OpenAI (AI Chat)

Configure Azure OpenAI for the "Chat with your Data" feature. Create a GPT-4.1-mini deployment in your Azure OpenAI resource.

Endpoint The endpoint URL from your Azure OpenAI resource (Azure Portal → OpenAI → Keys and Endpoint).

API Key Key1 or Key2 from your Azure OpenAI resource. Leave blank to keep the existing key.

Chat Deployment Name The name of the chat model deployment (e.g. gpt-41-mini).

API Version Azure OpenAI API version string.

User Daily Limit Max queries/day per user. 0 = unlimited.

Admin Daily Limit Max queries/day for admins. 0 = unlimited.

RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)

Enable RAG to let the AI search uploaded documents and indexed financial data using Cosmos DB vector search.

Embedding Deployment Name Azure OpenAI embedding model deployment (e.g. text-embedding-3-small). Must exist in the same resource.

Enable RAG When enabled, chat uses vector search + document retrieval.

RAG Top-K Results Number of document chunks to retrieve per query.

Azure Communication Services

Configure email verification using Azure Communication Services. The verification routes are channel-based so SMS/phone verification can plug into the same flow later.

Connection String Use the connection string from your Azure Communication Services resource.

Sender Email Address This must be a sender address from a verified Communication Services email domain.

Sender Display Name Optional. Helpful for inbox recognition.

Snapshot Settings

Snapshot Interval (minutes) How often the app captures a point-in-time snapshot of portfolio values and holdings for historical PnL tracking. Minimum 1 minute.

Azure Storage (Notification Queue)

Azure Storage is used for the notification queue only. Database sync uses Cosmos DB.

Storage Account Name The name of your Azure Storage account (found in the Azure Portal under Storage accounts). Used for notification queue access.

Connection String The full connection string for your storage account. Find it in Azure Portal → Storage account → Security + networking → Access keys.

Key Either key1 or key2 from your storage account's Access keys page. Used to authenticate snapshot uploads.

Notification Queue

Select an Azure Storage Queue to receive notifications (e.g. snapshot events, alerts). Browse available queues from your storage account.

Click "Browse" to fetch all queues from the configured storage account. Select one to use for notifications.

Azure Cosmos DB

Connect to an Azure Cosmos DB (NoSQL API) account. Find these values in Azure Portal → Cosmos DB account → Settings → Keys. The app will automatically create the database, container, and partition key.

Account Endpoint The URI endpoint of your Cosmos DB account (e.g. https://<account-name>.documents.azure.com:443/).

Account Key Either the primary or secondary key from your Cosmos DB account's Keys page.
